The day dawned wet and chill, but that didn’t stop the intrepid band, six strong, from starting on our second day on the Way.
The path led through fields before rising up onto the escarpment.
From the top we had some nice views back to the Broadway Tower.
The path then leads steeply off the escarpment and into the picturesque hamlet of Stanton.
We did encounter some signs of spring just outside the village!
We had lunch at a really nice pub, The Mount.
Thus fortified, we were soon on the lands of the Stanway Estate, the largest land owner hereabouts, with a fine Jacobean manor house.
The stage then finishes in the tiny village of Wood Stanway, dead ahead in this picture.
